Malaysian Ex-King Muhammad V and 26-year-old Russian woman Oksana Voevodina officially divorced. Their marriage, which caused a strong public outcry, lasted just over one year, reports the New Straits Times.
It is noteworthy that the court divorced spouses a few days before Vojvodina’s birthday, which she will celebrate as being officially an unmarried lady.
Muhammad V married a Russian woman on June 7 last year. A magnificent celebration with a royal scale was held in the autumn of the same year in the elite village near Moscow Barvikha.
The marriage was not saved by a child born on May 21 of this year. The baby was named Tencu Ismail Leon Petra Bin Tencu Muhammad V Faris Petra.
The divorce was preceded by the decision of Sultan Muhammad V to abdicate the throne, which he announced in January. Experts explained this decision by pressure from the royal family, who was unhappy with the wedding with a foreigner, who once on Instagram called her son the future king of Malaysia.
Currently Muhammad V is the hereditary ruler of the state of Kelantan.
