Putin thanked the mayor of Rome for helping the Russian fans

Russian President Vladimir Putin today at a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Rome and the Italian doctors for helping Russian fans affected by the escalator crash.

“I would like to convey words of gratitude to the mayor of Rome and the medical staff who are assisting fans who have suffered,” Putin said at a meeting in Moscow.

Recall, on the eve of the game before the “Roma” and CSKA Moscow escalator collapsed at the metro station “Republic Square”. As a result of the accident, about 30 people were injured. 16 out of 19 hospitalized – the Russians.

Three of them are in serious condition. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Italy said that the “pseudo-fans” were to blame for the breakdown of the escalator.
