He enshrines this concept in Russian legislation, and for this purpose a new article is introduced into the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
Deputies of the State Duma approved in the second reading a bill that will serve as the basis for regulating relations within the digital economy.
“This is a new area for our rights, because it is important for us to consolidate the basic concepts,” said State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
Volodin recalled that in the Address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the development of the digital economy was a priority and ordered the adoption of the necessary laws during the spring session.
The draft law establishes in the legislation the very basic concept of “digital law”. Article 141.1 – “Digital Rights” is introduced into the Civil Code.
Recall that in March 2018, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and Chairman of the State Construction and Legislation Committee Pavel Krasheninnikov submitted a draft bill on the digital economy to the State Duma .
