The American authorities have withdrawn visas from 340 Venezuelan citizens, said at a press briefing on Thursday, March 14, US State Department spokesman Robert Palladino.
He clarified that the visas were withdrawn this week, and in 107 cases we are talking about the employees of the diplomatic departments of the Bolivarian Republic and their family members. Robert Palladino called them “Maduro’s former diplomats.”
In addition, the representative of the foreign policy of the United States warned that Washington will continue to take such measures against representatives of the authorities of Venezuela, Interfax reports.
Recall, as the site wrote kp.ru, on the eve it became known that the Venezuelan authorities gave American diplomats 72 hours to leave the country. The United States withdrew most of its embassy staff in Caracas as early as January of this year, and on Tuesday Secretary of State Michael Pompeo announced that the US would withdraw US diplomats in Venezuela by the end of this week.
