In the near future, the investigation intends to petition the court for the arrest of Kirill Zhukov and Alexey Minyailo.
The investigation indicted the two defendants in the July 27 riot case. This was reported by TASS with reference to their lawyers. So, Kirill Zhukov was charged under Part 1 of Art. 318 (the use of violence against a representative of power that is not dangerous to his life) and part 2 of article 212 (participation in the riots) of the Criminal Code. The issue of his arrest will be examined tomorrow by the Presnensky court.
In turn, Alexey Minyailo was charged only in part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code, that is, in the case of riots.
“My client does not admit blame and insists that he did not take part in the action, because at that moment he was in the Khamovniki court of Moscow, where Lyubov Sobol supported ,” his lawyer told the agency.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has already reported about five detained participants in an unauthorized rally on July 27. The names of the three detainees are known: these are Alexey Minyailo, Kirill Zhukov and Ivan Podkopaev. In total, according to investigators, more than ten people were involved in the riots in an unauthorized rally in Moscow.
