At a meeting with the head of the World Islamic League, Mohammed bin Abdul Karim al-Isa, the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized that the Russian authorities are doing everything to ensure the rights of believers.
“We are doing everything to protect the rights of believers, to ensure the right of citizens to learn languages, their native language. And we consider it right that other states follow this path, ”Volodin quotes the official website of the State Duma.
He recalled that “although our religion and confessions operate independently of state institutions and our legislation defines this in the Constitution, the state does everything to ensure the rights of believers, on the one hand, and to help our main denominations on the other” .
The chairman of the State Duma noted that mosques, temples, synagogues and centers for Buddhists are being built in the capital of Russia and in other cities – that is, support is provided to all four major confessions of our country.
