The notch at the top of the Google Pixel 3 XL display, which many rightly consider to be a design flaw in an already not very attractive search giant, can be hidden. This is stated in the official Twitter event Made by Google. Representatives of the company agreed that the “bang” may not appeal to all users who certainly may want to give their device a more traditional look, and therefore did not limit them in this right.
Unlike the vast majority of manufacturers of smartphones with notches, which have assigned its concealment to a separate key, Google chose not to. If you go to the Google Pixel 3 XL settings app, you will not find an item that activates the black bar at the top of the display and hides the design flaw that is so mentioned. Instead, the smartphone owner will have to activate the developer mode and only then will he be able to hide the groove.
