Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev tries to keep abreast of literary and serial novelties, but for the most part is forced to read business papers. He spoke about recent works of art in an interview with Russian TV channels for the year.

– I recently drew attention to several of our new authors, well, for me anyway. Such Guzel Yakhin, who wrote several books, – said Medvedev.

The head of the Cabinet confessed that the last book by Yakhina had made “a very strong impression on him, although the first one was also very, very”. Also, relatively recently, Medvedev read the book “Country of Wine” by the Chinese author, Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan. According to him, this is a very interesting philosophical work, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the Chinese traditions. The prime minister mentioned among the viewed and the book “Views of Mount Fuji” Victor Pelevin.
