More than 50 thousand inhabitants of the state of Washington were left without light due to snowfall

The snowfall and storm that hit the US state of Washington caused damage to power lines, leaving more than 50,000 people without light. Reported by the Associated Press .

According to the agency, power outages for the most part occurred due to trees falling on power lines under the weight of snow. Currently, experts from the energy company Puget Sound Energy are trying to eliminate the accident.

Also throughout the state, utilities are given in full readiness, military units help them to clear the snow.

At Seattle / Tacoma airport, the state’s largest air hub, more than 500 flights were canceled in two days, and almost 400 more were delayed.

The agency noted that, due to the current situation, State Governor Jay Insley declared a state of emergency.
