Businessman Dmitry Rybolovlev, who is under judicial control in Monaco and is currently staying in Moscow, said that he does not plan to give up control of the Monaco football club. It is reported RIA Novosti.
“As for FC Monaco, Dmitry Rybolovlev has no plans to sell the club and intends to continue to support its development, as he always did, since the club’s acquisition in 2011,” said businessman’s representative Dmitry Chechkin.
According to him, the businessman is not going to comment on the process. “However, Mr. Rybolovlev categorically denies any suggestion that he might have been involved in any unlawful or reprehensible actions,” he noted.
Rybolovlev was detained on November 6 at the request of the prosecutor’s office of the Principality of Monaco. He is suspected of corruption, “trafficking in influence” and complicity in these crimes. Searches were conducted in his apartment in Monte Carlo, an investigation is underway.
At the moment, a businessman is in Moscow. He is released under the condition of judicial control and is not restricted in his movements, but is obliged to appear on an order for interrogation.
