Acting Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako removed from his post the director of Primorsky Forestry Dmitry Semikin due to problems with providing the population with firewood. Reports about it RIA VladNews.
Kozhemyako made his decision during a working visit to the Chuguevsky district, where he met with the population and groups of social institutions. Most complaints from citizens concerned the supply of firewood.
The head of Primorye stressed that he had previously held a meeting with the heads of enterprises of the timber industry complex, after which he decided to release Semikin from his post.
“Today I was going with foresters, said that this is their main task. According to the results – the chief forester removed from office. On Monday there will be an order, I will not allow anyone to work like this. We are now running into the track of the departing train, winter is near, and we have a problem with firewood. But the situation will be resolved anyway, ”he noted.
According to a local resident, Oleg Baglai, now firewood is either sold at inflated prices, then uncut timber is brought. “We have a lot of old people, they cannot cut logs themselves, they have to hire people. In addition, we are not given a receipt, so we cannot receive compensation for firewood, ”he said.
