“After the recent events around the UOC, this is quite expected, even indicative, but I want to note that the law does not spell out such a form of communication as“ talking ”or talking.” Therefore, dear lords and fathers, I doubt that they are with you about God will talk, ”he said.

Currently, Ukraine is preparing for the Unification Council in Kiev, convened by the Patriarchate of Constantinople with the support of the Ukrainian authorities. The purpose of the event is to create a single church in Ukraine by combining the UOC-MP with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate (UOC-KP) and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church (UAOC), which are not canonical. On November 14, it became known that the Council would be held on November 22, and will be held by the locum tenens of the Western European Exarchate of Constantinople, Metropolitan of Gallia, Emmanuel.

The church schism in Ukraine escalated several months ago. In early October, at the Council of the Constantinople Church, Patriarch Bartholomew confirmed his intention to grant the country autocephaly, removed the anathemas from the heads of schismatic churches and restored his jurisdiction over the Kiev metropolis. In this connection, on October 15, the Russian Orthodox Church broke the Eucharistic communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
