Hacker hacked into vending machines using a smartphone and got endless credit

An Italian programmer gained access to the client base of a network of vending machines and found a way to edit it.
Security expert Matteo Pisani discovered several vulnerabilities in the Argenta mobile app on Android for the same vending machines. It is reported by Hackernoon.

The application contains a customer database. Hacker easily got access to it. First, he decompiled (received the program code), then turned on the debug mode, and then reinstalled the application.

Having access to the database, Pisani created an application to modify it. After that, he went to one of the machines, the system did not recognize the burglary and gave him the requested product. According to Pisan, he was able to hack an app for vending machines due to a weak protection system.
