Bill Gates donated 100 million euros to improve the European climate

Billionaire Bill Gates, together with representatives of the EU, established the Breakthrough Energy fund to improve the European climate. Gates also donated 100 million euros for the benefit of the ecology of Europe, reports The Next Web.

Gates signed an agreement in Brussels on behalf of himself and a pilot group of well-known entrepreneurs. According to the billionaire, the fund will encourage innovative European companies engaged in the promotion of clean energy.

“Scientists and entrepreneurs working for the environment, need help. They will be able to deliver these innovations to the world market,” Gates said. In addition, contributors to Breakthrough Energy include Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, media manager Michael Bloomberg, Alibaba head Jack Ma, and Virgin Group executive Richard Branson.
