From November 2018 to the end of 2019, Russia will not supply fuel and lubricants (POL) to Belarus. This was announced by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

He noted that this corresponds to the condition of the previously signed indicative balance on the supply of petroleum products until the end of 2019 and concerns gasoline, diesel fuel and fuel oil.

Earlier, Belarus re-exported Russian oil products. Now, under the terms of the new agreements, it does not have such a possibility – the agreement excludes the possibility of “gray” schemes in the supply of petroleum products within the framework of the union state.

However, Novak stressed that the supply of dark oil products and diesel will be limited for a year in order to keep the proportions of budget revenues in line with previously planned indicators. At the same time, the document retains the possibility of supplying petroleum products to petrochemical plants. For example paint products, chemical products.
